My name is Emily and I am a senior Environmental Studies major at Temple University in the great city of Philadelphia. I’ve always had an immense amount of respect for the city of Philadelphia. My parents met in Philly. They were working for Amtrak on JFK Blvd (right across the street from LOVE Park)…and they fell in love! But I digress…The reason I’m writing this on the wonder that is Philadelphia is because all around us we hear about “going green.” I’d like to take a look at businesses and non-profits working in the city to become more sustainable. What I have found is that a lot of organizations have already gone green, and not because it was the fashionable thing to do, but because it’s the right thing to do. I hope you enjoy reading about the city through my lens.
